Waste Contractors & Recyclers Association
Tony has been involved in the waste and recycling industry since January 1990. He is very aware of the many & varied business challenges and issues that are faced by business operators, including demands for better customer service, better cost control, higher productivity, better planning, WHS issues, the skills shortage, the challenges posed by the introduction of new laws & regulations, insurance issues, the urban sprawl, environmental matters, importance of good training, etc.
In order to improve recycling so that the outputs meet lower contamination specifications, we will require better education programs along with upgraded facilities with better technology and probably more staff (who are better trained). Australia will need to develop domestic re-processing capacity - which will require significant investment and more efficient planning
