Jon Hastings

London Borough of Newham

Jon Hastings is Commissioning Leader for Waste & Public Space at London Borough of Newham, responsible for strategic waste management, street cleansing, parks and open spaces, and commissioning support functions for a wide range of environmental services. Jon began his career in waste management at Haringey Council in 2005 and moved to Newham in 2011. At this time Jon also became a Chartered Waste Manager and is now the Senior Vice-Chair of the CIWM London & Southern Counties Centre Council. Jon previously chaired the London Recycling Officers Group and has been a regular member on regional and national panels covering a broad range of issues and influencing policy across the sector.
